What does your WAGs think about bikes?

Dear Deirdre,

OK my house has been sold (co owned with the ex) and will hopefully be purchasing a new home of my own again in next month or so.

Some of this is based out of curiosity, some knowledge and some advice for me.

I think my hyperactive nature combined with a lust for bikes was the downfall for that last relationship, although she never minded me going out on said bike, she always felt I loved the bike more than her (no comment ), she complained about me constantly nipping out to the garage to have a look or a tinker etc (well if she stopped fooking texting then I might not). Been pissed off when its raining and so no bike weather, and sometimes mad me being on here.....was even worse when I had an offroad bike too All year round bike related madness, I sold that to save the hassle but REALLY did not want to.

There is always a compromise I guess, but she never said anything till the end, so never really got the chance to put right the error of my ways, but are they errors?.

I dont like football, dont go out on the piss very often my main hobby is bikes simple as, maybe im just selfish with my time.

Bic made me laugh when I saw pics of his bike being in the house (no chance of that) and the pushchair struggling to get the past the lathe, I though lucky fooker.

So do you guys have really understanding/tollerant WAGs, or ones that are into bikes too? Or like me are you destined for single life to fulfill your bike related needs without fear of having to not buy some bling as we need a buy some cushions....

Its not my fault the SD has out lasted any relationship I ever had, its been a better ride than some of them too......

I had one of those that you describe. And you know what, fook 'em! She made my life miserable because she couldn't figure bikes out. She was so scared of them that she basically started trembling getting close to my dream bike; in 1999 a brand new Yamaha YZF-R6. She couldn't fooking get it. It went so far that she "got consolidation" somewhere else. I got an STD.

Today I wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire, even if I reeeeally needed to go.

It took me several years to get rid of the majority of the bitterness, and even longer to find my current one. She's a total nutcase and I got her hooked on bikes (she was bike-curious before she knew me). Within 9 months she had a license and a ZXR400 and was on her way with me and my mate to Nürburgring.

She's fantastic, totally crazy!

For the ones out there that have these pathetic women that won't let men do what the fook men were designed to do; fook 'em! We're not designed to sit in the house thinking about the kids. We're designed to go out there and kill the sabre toothed tiger. There's good girls out there too, just takes a bit of time to find them.

All I hope is that this crazy one can put up with me and my stupid stuff.

There are girls you see at trackdays, race meets, riding bikes of their own etc. Usually they are mingers though.

The question really is are you better off with a minger that encourages your interests and supports you in whatever you do. Or a self absorbed stunna that puts the blocks on bikes from day 1.

The compromise most of us have reached is to have a normal woman with their own interests. One who will cut you some slack to enjoy your bike and any other hobbies you may have:

Dressing as a woman; Danno
Dressing as a garden hose: Ducati Pete
Dressing as Village People: Big Toby
Taking dirty pictures: Shade
Perving at Pilates: Klinck
Crashing: Motoronin
Sticking pins in yourself: Twister Jester

Of course, they may still be a minger but you are welcome to send us nudie photos to disprove it.

The least you can do for this tolerant woman is keep you life insurance up, never tell them what you get up to when out on the bike, be a home loving weakling the rest of the week, dont keep buying bikes, bling and trackdays without telling them.

Oh well. 2 out of 4 aint bad There is allways Russian bride.com Or Thailand dirty bitch.com if she leaves

Mrs Weeksy proving not all birds who ride bikes are tomboys or munters.

She's ridden many tracks including Jerez, Brands GP, Rocki and Caddy.

If Ms Fernandez rode bikes......

My Wife loves bikes, loves the SD, and actually enjoys hearing me carry on about them too!

If plans for a weekend breakfast run haven't been made by the Thursday, she tells me to pull finger and get organising. Of course, her reasoning is, if I don't go for at least one longish ride by Saturday 11am, I'm a miserable ass for the rest of the weekend!

She won't ride them, and worries a lot more since her cousin died in a bike accident 2 weeks ago, but she still loves bikes, and appreciates that I'll be careful and need my biking time.

I'm the luckiest guy in the world, because the only way she could be more pro-bike would be to ride one, and I only have money for one, which means less time for me!
