What the hell is superpole?!

The time that Toesland set in 'normal' qualifying was good enough for 8th - riders put in a banker lap in normal qualifying so that if they do bin it in superpole they don't start at the back. Generally the superpole lap is an all-out banzai effort which yeilds a faster time, especially as there's no traffic.
