G'day, my girlfriend and I are coming to the States in August for the Indianapolis GP and the US Open. Staying in NYC for 9 days so wondering where is the best place/area to stay?

Ace hotel, just off Broadway. WalkIng distance to most of Manhattan. Cool place.

Midtown west is pretty cool. Everything is pretty accessible form there.
