When I was a teenager I always wanted a TDR250 but couldn't afford it so when the Superduke came out in 2005 it was the new nutters bike I really wanted. In July 2008 I couldn't resist any longer so I bought a brand new black Superduke.

Handling is awsome although i'm starting to think I need a steering damper!!!

I test rode one back in 2005 when they first came out, and loved it but quit bikes for a bit untill this year when I bought mine in Jan. I love it the only bike i would consider swapping it for is an R version.

August 2010, wanted one for ages but been put off by lack of dealers near by and press reports about fueling, however route 55 opened near me and had a test ride in June sold my cb1000r within 6 mths and got mine

Aug 05, was waiting for the 950 SM to come in, took the SD for a test ride and the rest is history !
Got 2nd SD last year with hardly any miles on it.

I had an RSV Factory until I got banned in 2004. Insurance doubled (800quid ) So that had to go.

Bought a fireblade in 2006 and ended up nutting a car in a single track lane. Whilst I was rebuilding the blade a mate sold me his 05 Superduke to run around on. Except for German and French trips I never really rode the blade anymore.

Loved the 05 bike but it'd had a rough life before I got it and I chucked 9000 miles at it in quick succession.

Got offered a 07 SDR from a guy on here and sold the 05 to a german, profiteering on the weak pound. Still miss it and wish I had kept it as a track bike.

saw a friend that had one, didnt really think much about it. It was too expensive, and insurance also way to expensive.

Tried CB-1000RA, FZ-1, Z1000 and found them boring.
Then my friend tried to sell his Superduke for 165.000 DKK but I couldn't afford the insurrance..
Then I gave up on finding a naked bike I liked and could afford
My friend had sold his bike etc. and I gave up.

a year later the bike was up for sale again, this time for 125.000 DKK and I found a decent insurrance that I could pay. Was out looking at it about a year ago, and without test-driving it, I made the most expensive impulse-buy I've ever done, and bought the bike.

I've had it for a year now.

I got my first one in Feb 07, then found out it had been previously bought and returned to the dealers by a couple of members on here, as it had crash damage. I too phoned up the dealers and returned the bike for a full refund.

I then saved up a bit more and bought a brand new 06 at a reduced price in April 07.

saw my mates 06 model and fell in love... then i saw an 08 and know it was to be... thought i liked the hypermotard more (riding wise, coming from motards), I have both and the SD is the one I yearn to ride... so much more fun

Got mine in May this year.
I always like them, but never thought I would own one. The reputation put me off as I thought it would be too aggressive.
When I was looking for my first "grown-up" bike (graduating from a big single cylinder bike), I thought I was going to like the 990SM, and I did, until I test road the SD "for laughs" ... I hadn't even taken my helmet off before the sales guy knew I wanted one

Got my first in May 2008 and lasted until June 2009, when we parted company and I broke both arms ( left ulna and radius, and now has 2 plates and 12 screws to hold them together, and also right humerus, which now has a rod and 2 pins holding that together). Bike was financially written off but someone else now owns it and has done a paint job on it and is fully road legal again. Then luckily got my latest steed in March this year, (2009 on a 2010 plate) and so far I have slowed it down a tad but not by too much
