I did a track day that had me evenly matched to a guy on a Daytona 675. I have done about ten track days and from the looks of it, he had too. It was scary how evenly matched the two bikes were on the track. speed, acceleration, flickability. We both walked away with a good deal of respect for the others steed. My feeling are that if you can ride fast enough to want a little more muscle out of your SD then you will be disapointed with the Triumph. I would look at a litre bike, they will have more in reserve for you to appreciate in the future, The Daytona will loose its legs fast. They sure are pretty though.
