Hello,
So after a 2 week vacation, I went to start the SD and it would not. I had the soft 32 dat 101 error in the dash and the bike would not start. I read here in the forum that it could have been a plethora of electrical gremlins. I was able to track it down to a dead 1 year old AGM battery.
Purchased a Shorai for $170, purchased the charger (Now I have 2 Battery Tenders + This NOCO Genius G1100 charger). I had also read here that for example Bic had had several issues with these Shorai batteries. Some of my riding buddies said the same (RSV4) but I also encountered some people with positive opinions about them. So I decided to take a risk. WTF, life is short right?
On Thursday I had a short day at work so I decided to install the new battery; the bike fired right up. Life is good.
On Friday, I was contacted by a new member of this forum who lives a few miles from my house, he's a potential future owner of a GT and wanted to know my experience as a KTM owner and pros and cons of the brand in general. He now rides a Kawasaki Concours 1400 so I asked him if he wanted to ride on Sunday and he agreed.
On Saturday I went for a short ride with my buddy who just bought a new BMW 1200GS and is still breaking it in.
Sunday comes, Brent shows up at my house and we rode some of the better roads Central FL has to offer.

Later stopped at a gas station and talking with several other riders, there was an FJ-1300, Ducati HyperMotard, a few Goldwings, Harleys, BMW S1000R and a Honda NC700.
We had a good ride. We reached up to 75 mph at one point and it seemed we were flying. Oh, did I mention he also has a Kymco 300 scooter and we rode scooters yesterday? Oh yeah, Brent has a shoulder injury awaiting surgery and cannot ride the heavy Kawasaki Connie.
