So they make a point about how a 600 is more practical and how the cops are on the lookout for litre bikes. I hate to break it to these guys but the cops have no way of identifying if you're riding a 600 or a litre bike until they've pulled you over and see the sticker on the back of the bike. I agree no one needs a litre bike for the road but there's more to it than what we need. Assuming one knows how to ride just get what you want. litre bikes have a different feel and power delivery than small displacement bikes. Some guys like it and others don't. I happen to be in the camp that likes litre bike power no matter how slow or fast I'm riding.

Dont worry I think the same! I never used to think like I do about big HP bikes but the truth is that your more likely to go fast on a fast bike don't get me wrong I love speed and power but its just to damn dangerous on the street.

But it is nice to absolutely thrash a bike everywhere and that is much easier on a little bike.
Best ride I've had in years was thrashing my RGV 250 on a back road run to Silverstone a couple of years ago. Brother on the same bike. Laughing all the way, passing stuff and rarely going over 3 figures.
Both have their place IMO.

Let's look at this a different way for shits and grins.
I load up my tail bag and head out to the woods.
I take a .22 pistol and a .45 pistol.
Which one is give you the biggest kick, no pun intended?

Yep! Bikes are just for fun. That's why I like them to have some balls.
Spent my time / dues on smaller bikes. Better than no bike. Have to say it is fun chacing down the litre bikes two up on a bike half it's size. Been there / did that.

Er.. .last time I shot skeet I did do better with a 20ga than the 12ga. Bigger is not always better. And I do love my 22 for puching hole in paper, but steel plates give me a big bore.
