because i'm a noob here.
The other day as i posted some photos of my hooligan box modification someone replied with " Don't forget to grease the BGC " ..... I'm all WTF is the BGC - i racked my brains - ASKED for some simple answer from someone here - anyone - what is BGC ??? and i got NUTHIN ....
THNX !!!
so i read and i read and was up till 4am reading about 500 of these threads last nite and low and behold the truth be told , there was a post - and someone in a discussion about what i don't even freeking know mentioned " The Big Gray Connector " --- and i just about had a heart attack ----> The FOOKING BGC !!!!! Ok fun's over now.
this leads me to a question : if these engineers and designers are supposto be so Wunderful (and reluctantly i say yes they are ) Why doesn't the electrical on new bikes come pre-greased ? they want ya to bring the bike back when the FOOKING thing fails so they can charge ya big time ?

Johnny

ps. BOTH BGC's cleaned and greased .... w/ Dialectic - thnx !!!

I understand your pain, i worked in Toyota service for 17 years, and there are SO many possible points of failure in modern machines that they cant catch 'em all. (sticking throttle come to mind? I think that one was BS anyway)

I didnt see your question or i would have answered, you will find this forum to be the most friendly and helpful of any i have participated in, give us another chance, we wont let you down!

Most 'weatherpack' connectors do not require dialectric grease because theyre supposed to be water tight, however we know this to not always be true!

Great reason to read archives in this 'one of a kind' forum!
PM me anytime for answers to questions you may have, as i am relatively new, but have gone through what youre experiencing.

us engineers can have the most perfect designs but in the end, we dont install it. Sometime you have good workers and others are a drain on society. If you have one that doesnt give a rats @ss then it is not going to be done, unfortunatley quality control is not something that seems to be a ktm strongpoint (which is weird as austria is almost germany who have the most insane QA ever, like japan)
