Commuting, sunday blasts in the mountains, even some touring, and I'll be using it for some trackdays this fall... I think this is how most of us use our SDs.
But as you don't want anything resting against your exhaust cans, I's say tankbags and tailbags are your best bet.

#5Right Ok! Thanks fellas. I think I'm pretty much sold.... nobody mentioned service intervals tho.... is it pretty normal like once a year or 5000 miles type stuff or more like ducati's where the cam belts need doing every 1000 miles type thing?
I do most of the service stuff on my car and bike , but only plugs, oil, brakes etc the easy to intermediate stuff, i wouldn't like to get into valve shimming or anything. Could I do servicing on an SD myself? Does any do it themselves or is strictly trained personnel only?
