Hi All

Long time follower first time poster.
First KTM too after a long line up of Japanese Italian and American scooters.

I have to say....the 1290 is the ducks guts !!
I came off an Aprilia Tuono V4 and for me this thing is so much more! The T was a brilliant bike but this takes it up a notch in enjoyment for me!!!

Anyway....I hope to meet many of you on the forum

Cheers

Black Superduke 1290 here. Haven't worked out how to attach image yet...I'll get there
Welcome on board dude and congrats on your new steed
Welcome mate. .. was good to meet you the other day.

Have fun, pay attention to kevxtx... He will have some awesome mods for the 1290 shortly.
Welcome, nice bike. what mirrors are those?
Welcome mate.

There is another Nerd on here, (SDNerd).

You will get me confused. He is a bit of an opinionated Nerd so when you see his posts you think, "Hey up, what's he going to say now". He's not always wrong, just opinionated!

He will be along soon, surely, to claim some sort of plagarism rights!!
Hey,

Might see you on the road

Paul
Welcome to the nut house mate.
Welcome welcome welcome fellow Aussie.

Now please tell me where you got your mirrors!
welcome mate
Welcome in...nice choice
I think we otta have a Nerd off. The biggest Nerd wins a prize.
Thanks for the welcome chaps.

I'd make a shithouse Nerd...drink far too much piss to be classified a Nerd

For those guys that like the mirrors, I bought them off EBay. I had a pair on the Tuono as well. Good quality and a usable mirror size. No vibration.
You can find similar looking mirrors for under $30.00 but I was dubious of the quality. They look the same !!

So I paid some extra and satisfied myself that I was getting a better quality item. Probably no difference...lol

Here's the link to the ones I bought

Cheers
The GPR exhaust sounded pretty good by the way... nice bark without being obnoxious.
Thanks mrz32

Here's a little video of a mate riding my scooter. Sounds alright on big speakers.
This is the noise you get with the GP3 V3 Slipon with the 50mm insert and the baffle installed.

The 50mm insert knocks another 3-4 dB off the sound over the standard 60mm insert that is shipped standard with this exhaust. It cost another $70.00 but I'm now happy with the noise. Loud enough but not too loud.

Sounds great . I have a mate fitting the high pipe to his this week will be interesting to see how loud that thing is .
