I am a newly registered member of this forum that has been riding motorcycles since I was about 17 (about 40 years now unless you count the minibikes I rode too). My previous ride - Ducati Diavel Dark. The SDR is now on my radar and I am hoping to learn more from the riders on this forum.

Welcome! Lots of good info here. Big change from a Diavel to an SDR!

Thanks. That's what I hope to understand.
When I was much younger, I rode in the dirt - enduro, motocross and flat track. Mostly sport, sport tour and cruisers since then. European, US and Japanese.
The Diavel was a fantastic bike that pulled hard, but it was hit and totaled in September without injury to me. The SDR seems like it would be an interesting mix of my experience on two wheels. I have a dealer that is 10 minutes from my home and a hole burning in my pocket. This could be fun.

Congrats on coming out unscathed and alive to ride another day. You will feel the dirt heritage in the Super Duke, it is a very special bike. Post up some pics when you bring her home.

I think you should take the plunge. Glad to here you are still in one piece. Also glad you are getting back on a horse. Many here have raved about the crashability of the SuperDukes. I am not sure if that is a testamant worth bragging about, but anything that keeps you on the road and out of the stealers parts counter can'y be all that bad. You will get unbiased input from this forum we are all brutally honest. I believe that there are a few from Pa. on this forum. Anyway, you could pick a worse bike than the SuperDuke and You already did that, Step up to the plate and hit a home run for the Orange team
