Hi Guys,
Just bought a 2005 SD mainly because I have come to realise that bikes with a V-twin or parallel twin with a 270 degree crank sound the best.
My bike used to belong to one of the main dealers in Bangkok who was kind enough to put on the full carbon kit, Remus exhaust, PC5, Rizoma rear-sets etc etc when he owned it.
Was not too crazy about the orange colour (despite being Dutch...) and the seat cover had faded so wrapped it in blue with orange decals and black seat, bit like the 990 Adventure 30 year Dakar edition, will try to post photos once I have figured out how to do it.
Trying to improve the ergonomics with a ProTaper handlebar and SW-Motech risers as have a bit of a wrist problem.
Plan to take it on weekend trip soon and see if the tank is indeed annoyingly small.., quite impressed to find luggage loops under the seat though so fitting my Kriega US-20 bag is no problem.
Otherwise in the shed:
KTM 690 Enduro R
Triumph Street Triple R
Kawasaki ER6-F
Yamaha TDM 850
Honda CRF 250L
Anybody coming to Thailand always welcome to contact me for advice on riding here or in Laos and Cambodia.
Cheers
Frank
