Hello all,

I'm picking up a 2007 SD on Saturday morning. I started riding 10 years ago on Harley's and then switched to sport bikes. I've been looking for something to bridge the gap and to get back to my V-twin roots, and I think the SD is what I've been missing.

The bike is currently bone-stock, but I've already ordered a tail-light integrator and am looking at exhausts as I type this.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the boards!

I'm not really looking for a Harley substitute, just something inbetween one and a sportbike... and I'm hoping its much better than an HD

COL Klinck, I'm not from Alabama originally, but from what I've seen so far its just like in South Park.

So I left my house at 0430 this morning for 8 hours round trip in the truck to pick up the SD.

I got to rid it for about 30 minutes before it started pouring rain (I hate Alabama). I haven't fully opened it up as I'm still getting used to the ergonomics of the bike, but I'm already in love.

The bike is bone stock right now, and pulling out of the driveway in first I rolled on the throttle a little bit and got a nice 1 foot wheelie without even trying!

The bike throws back and forth just like a dirt-bike, and it makes me feel like I'm 16 again.

Can't wait to give it hell

Thanks Kilinck, I just removed the limiter.

Now to inspect the results.... Image

Am I to understand that the Akra map is something the dealer can do to the ECU without a PCIII?

It definately helped, now I'm clutching 2nd gear wheelies (very little luck powering 2nd).

I think I still need a little more, so I may switch to a 40 tooth rear or a 15 in the front.... maybe both.

I'm not too concerned with top speed, so if I lose some its not going to break my heart. The main reason I got out of the 4cyl scene is I found myself going wayyy to fast.

I see your at Rucker, and the black hawk in your Avatar, I am assuming you are in flight school down there?

I have been to Rucker several times I am sure you will have plenty of roads to ride on as its pretty desolate outside of the base and enterprise.

Anyways welcome to the forum.
