Hi all. Just bought myself a nice 2005 SD . After years of sportsbikes i wanted to find something fun and fast with great handling. I wish i had found it sooner!

I waas amazed how much wind protection the headlight cover gave, but have to do something about the twitchy throttle response (around 4500 rpm). Alot of bikes have this problem, so should be able to work it out!

Any advice on mods greatly appreciated

Welcome to the nuthouse.

You'll be pleased to know that most mods that you may do to the bike will help smooth out the throttle.

Welcome!

Plenty of info on how to get rid of the surging.
Once I got rid of the sas, o2 sensors and so on and did a proper dyno tune my 990 was smooth as!
