Well, I'm new to the forum as I just traded my '04 R1100S for a brand-spankin' new '07 SD this past weekend.

I can't say enough about the bike, other than it is unlike anything I've ever ridden and everything else pales in comparison.

I've already got a Graves exhaust on the way and a Power Commander USB (should be in my hands next Monday). Due to some business travel, I won't complete my first service until Oct, 29, and I intent to have at it with the exhaust and PC after that. As you can imagine, I can't wait to be out of the run-in period and ditch the stock exhaust.

Anyways, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I look forward to taking part in the good discussion here as I get a little more time with the SD.
Sunny Side Up ,

Hey, how are ya, all the best to you, welcome to this good place.

stolen 06 750 GSXR, had it 60 days, whoosh ! gone...pissed me off so bad I

bought a 06 SM 950 and i loved it so much I had to have a 07 SD , and life is

grand ! have fun and stay safe. Peace.......joe

Last bike before SD, a R1100S

I've been a big KTM fan for years but have never owned one. I've been riding for over 25 years and currently own a Aprilia Shiver & Ducati Multistrada 1200 and before that it was dirt bikes.

I've always loved the SD and been lurking here the past 6 months reading all about the new 1290.
A few days ago I was able to do a demo ride on a 1290 and really got the fever to own one now. But plan on waiting for the 2015's to come out so I can start saving for one. In the mean time I look forward to learning more about the bike on this forum.
Tony
Welcome in Floridian...
Welcome. With the USA delivery schedule you should have 2-3 years to save up for the 2015 model
