Hello Everyone!

I'm the proud owner of a new 2016 1290 Super Duke R. I park it next to my 2007 950 Super Moto and they get along just great. In Montana most KTM riders own KTM dirt bikes. In fact most know nothing about KTM street bikes. I'm trying to change that Every where I ride I get looks and question about the "Beast" What is it? How much does it cost? How fast will it go? Where can I get one? Can I ride it on the dirt?

Anyway, Love the bike... don't care for the speedometer that doesn't tell me the truth. Trying to get KTM to do something about that and pointing out that hundreds of other owners are spending their hard earned money having to buy speed sensor rings not made by KTM to get the real speed from their bikes. Other that that this bike is absolutely amazing. Too bad I only have about 5 months a year to ride before the weather stops me. But, for those 5 months I'll be riding every minute I can.

Ride safe and Ride on..........

I'm in Montana now. On my way to Glacier National Park. It's getting cold up here but it sure is beautiful. Looks like a great place to own an SD for at least a portion of the year. Welcome

I had my 2015 Super Duke 1290 looked at by my dealer at their request after I mentioned to them the frustration of my speedometer not being accurate. They were in complete agreement with me and after talking to KTM, were instructed to have me bring my bike in to check it out. After the dealer confirmed that the speedo was off by 10%, KTM told my dealer that that was withing "acceptable" variance and that they would not do anything about it. This made my dealer quite angry at KTM and he told me that he felt this wasn't right. He suggested calling KTM customer service which I guess is my next step.

I thought I would just update this post to say that it looks like KTM still isn't taking any responsibility for this.
