New member here, I've been riding KTMs (dirt/dualsports) for a few years but decided I needed to get something more street orientated... I was sold on getting a speed triple until I rode the duke, then I was hooked. My local dealer had a couple 08s with 0 miles and was selling them for a price I couldn't pass up.

welcome in...I also was between the speed Triple and the SD, but like you got hooked by the SD. No regrets

08's seem to be the hot ticket right now. You made the right choice for sure.

Welcome aboard!

I thought the 08 SD's had a black swing arm with a red tail light and the 07 SD's had the clear tail light.

Excellent choice either way.

Id like to pass a belated welcome. Its good to see someone else in the Reno area with an SD. Fallon is a little too flat to use an SD as intended, so I try to bring mine to Reno whenever I can. If you ever want to meet up for a ride let me know. Those FMF cans look good.
