Just picked up a 2008 SD 990 R on Sat.
Dislocated my shoulder 4 days before I picked it up, so trying to heal before I ride too much. Over due for surgery, just have to deal with some pain.
I did clock about 100 miles the first 2 days, including some nice twisties to the Pacific coast. (Highway 9 to Highway 1 for those who know the area)
Rode a 2001 GSXR 750 previously. I am 6'6" so did a lot more homework this time to find the right bike.
I LOVE THIS MACHINE!
Came with some nice goodies including tank bag, saddle bags, and rear bag.
Tank pad and tail tidy/fender elim to come soon.

Been reading (lurking) around here already, sooooooo glad I chose this bike

I grew up in San Ho, but decided to move over the hill. Now I commute every morning over 152.
