I have owned my '07 990SD for a couple of years now and have just come across this site. Awsome!
I rode a Suzuki 250GS Bandit for about 4 years before deciding to upgrade. Wasn't too sure what I actually wanted, though a V-twin was always in the back of my mind. Then one day I was browsing and heard the almighty rumble of the SD with akro's just shaking everything in the store. The very next day it was sold and I haven't looked back!
The bike gets used for what it was made for - to be ridden!
None of this show 'n shine. The bike is ridden everyday. Rail, hail or shine.
I love the fact that you can take the bike for a long ride, or simply blast anything else off the line with the massive torque available.
It's clear if you haven't ridden one, you don't know what you are missing out on.
