Hey - Chopping a new S1000R in for the 1290 SD

Thanks for having me. About to get my first KTM

This time last year I had a Fireblade but decided I wanted a naked bike. After a lot of umming and ahing I went for the BMW S1000R sport. It's a phenomenally good bike but after 6 months I've had enough...efficiency... and want a bit more excitement. The Duke made me cackle like a madman on my test ride last year. Dealer has offered me a fair price to change and so I now have a black 1290 Superduke about to be prepped for collection. Due to be picked up on the wife's birthday, she doesn't know I'm changing it yet. Might be slightly problematic, but nothing worth having is easy (the bike I mean )

Welcome Comrade: Just a tip. Hold off on the delivery for a few days and your marriage might last a few years longer.

Welcome and congratulations on your purchase. On the basis of personal experience I would delay delivery by at least 24 hrs. My wife would recall such an event for at least 50 years !

Cheers guys. Current plan is to take her out to lunch, but either before or after pretend the S1KR has to go to the dealers for a repair of some sort. Then hide the duke in the garage and play it by ear.
