Hey from Brisvagas Oz

Hey all, just doing the intro thing. Recently picked up a used 05 SD from a dealer here in QLD, is my second scooter in 6 years (I tend to get attached to my mechanical beauties and hold onto them for a few years) previously had a 97 model ZX7R. I would have bought another green machine but unfortunately kwaka don't make anything like the SD!

Awesome machine the Duke, cranky and un-polite I would call mine. Akra rear cans, factory akra map, no baffles, everything else stock.

Been doing a bit of reading through this forum, helped me make my mind up on the SD, but once I rode it it was a done deal anyway. Would like to see if others from Brissy on here catch up for rides?

Welcome to the forum!. There is alot of helpful info around here to look at.

They can be a little jerky at the start haha. A few mods and a custom tune can smoothen them out.

Yeah the throttle is a little rough around that 3k rpm mark but call me a purist, I wouldn't change it as I reckon that's how KTM wanted it so that's how I will ride it, unless I get a full dyno tune with new intake and all.

Took the missus for a 2hr scoot today, awesome fun although slow, it's heaps fun just thumping around and blasting cyclists so they shit their lycra!
