after a while a reading on this forum, decided it was time to register since there's a lot of usefull info and fun on this forum.
after having made a test ride on a SD last year I was stunned and only thing on my mind after that was the Superduke. So beginning this year i went to the dealer to look for a second hand SD but left the shop with a contract for a new 2008 SD with akra's and other poohaa. It has been delivered 2 weeks ago so i'm now riding it's first meters..tomorrow the 1000km service is planned.
My previous bikes are (from first to last bike) Aprilia Rs125, Suzuki GSXR600, Yamaha R1, VOR 570 Supermoto, VOR 530 Supermoto/Enduro, Aprilia RSV Mille R and now the Superduke.
I have been riding Supersports primarily for like 6 years now and in between some supermotards. Both are awesome, the SS for it's speed/power and track performance, the SuperMotards for it's fun factor and handling. But both the SS and SM had it's negative sides, for SS it was that every ride i was mostly riding at speeds which would cost me my driver license sooner or later. and for the SM it was the maintenance it required, the combined cost for that and only suitable for short rides, though the fun i had on these bikes was great!
Now the SD has come and in my eyes it has best of both worlds, the power/speed/handling/fun/looks/holidays/etc. it's the best bike i ever owned/ridden.
I'm very happy with it and enjoy every second on it!
