Hey guys, figured I'd finally make a new guy thread.
Got my SD back in November and been loving it. Came from starting on an 04 Honda CB600F and riding the piss out of it for 5 good years.
Ever since I started looking into bikes, the SD always caught my eye, but it was always out of my price range and, at least I felt, out of my riding ability. As luck would have it, around the time I sold my bike, one popped up on Craigslist for the right price. Had about 30k miles on it, but well taken care of, so I picked it up and I was happier than a kid on Christmas morning at DIsneyland.
Previous owner only put some aftermarket handlebars on. I bought a set of Renthals, but the bends are almost exactly the same as the ones he put on, so I figure I'd save those for a later date. So far, I've disconnected the wires for the limiter in 1st and 2nd gear, Motohooligan secondary butterflies, Yoshimura slip ons, bar end mirrors, and a K&N filter. I plan on getting a Power Commander with the self tuner, 16/40 sprockets, crash protectors, SAS block off plates, and a solo seat.
