I just joined up today, but have been lurking for a few months now, reading up on the fairly impressive amount of knowledge here.
I'm looking to buy a new bike very soon and my heart tells me SD! SD! SD! and my head is mostly on board as well. I keep trying to find something more sensible, or at least something faired, but after seeing these bikes I'm finding it hard to get excited about any others. I'm sure you understand.
I was just a few days too late to contact Paul S about the SD he was selling, that's pretty much the ideal bike I'd be looking for, new shape, orange and black with the expensive cans already fitted. I've seen a couple on autotrader that look promising, but nothing like the bargain his was.
Hopefully I will soon be joining you all in ownership of one of these monsters, just need to find the right one.
