Hi there ive just got myself a 2007 superduke just in time for winter.

had a few hidden niggles and found he front wheel is cracked so just need to sort that and itll be ready as a track slag and a road toy got it for a bargain and has less than 4k on the clock

i got it for £2900 with under 4k on the clock, but seller lied told me cat d but turns out a cat c. the paintjob isnt the best but not the worse, it will do for now, but generally it is very clean, was still on the original tyres when i got it.

cost me a further £200 off my buddy to get it on the road with some race scrubs, an mot, get the neutral light working with new sensor that the threads sheared as i unbolted the old one, and to sort some earths out.

then the speedo didnt work, some pelican had put different disc bolts in so got a new set here ready to go on to try that but no point until ive got the cracked wheel sorted.

also chucking up a fault code now but reading everywhere thats for weak battery, took the belly pan off and it looks original, so ill chuck a yuasa in it soon.

I wonder why some1 would replace the front brake discs before they are worn, and i assume they aren't worn with 4K miles.......

fact the front wheel is cracked around a spoke makes me think did the discs have damage from the crash, but been checked out its all straight, the wheel isnt even buckled either, so just got to source a wheel which i cant justify £400 for a second hand one, and then its sorted.

but like i say i got it for £2900 and its going to be a track and road toy for a couple years then ill look into getting a 1290 for the road and this just getting tracked.

i had a 2008 aprilia tuono r before this, and even though the aprilia had more power and was faster, it didnt ride as easy as the duke, cant wait to get this one round the track, hopefully can get a wheel soon as couple weeks and theres a session some mates are doing on the brands hatch indy circuit.

Now where have I seen this bike before? Pretty sure someone on here was asking about fixing it up after the crash. Or was it on ebay. I forget.
