Nukem
Went and picked up my 05 990 today and had the most smile inducing, glare causing, throttle twisting ride home.
Figure that now I've got the bike safely tucked away in the garage I should make a proper introduction.
The bike is a black beauty with a few nice extras already - akras, gel seat, hard parts tank bag, pazzo levers and crash protection.Of course I'm already starting a list of mods and cosmetic enhancements - beginning with the 07 tank. I'll post a photo once I've given it a good wash.
Moving from a (Gen1) Tuono to the Superduke really is seamless. I felt immediately at home with the nimble handling, down-low grunt and upright riding position. I thought the 'snatchy throttle' was just a v-twin quirk so not bothered by it, and oh does it ever sound great with those pipes. A bit light on the front at speed, but might just take some getting used to. The KTM just has more attitude!
Can't wait to hit my favourite stomping grounds and cut loose on some twisty roads!
