New to the forum and KTM just taken delivery of a new shiny 990 SD
been riding for 10 ish years

I'm a bit of a torque junkie have only had V Twins for the last few years Suzuki TLR 1000 Aprillia RSV millie Ducati 999. fancied a change from crotch rockets and returned to my roots big naked hooligans... owned a few streetfightered Bandit 12's years ago but nothing compares to the SD shaking its head in 2nd 3rd gear on fast corner exits....

as said she is bog standard brand new and will need tricking up soon

any advice on the best mods welcome

Use the search to find out what some of the guys have done.

The majority go for aftermarket cans, SAS removal, O2 eliminators, Oberon clutch slave and MotoBox for performance mods.

Then theres the whole bling/carbon modding that can get addictive:wink:. A fair few guys change the mirrors for something less donkey like. Levers and bars have also been changed by a few.

I'm sure once you start modding you'll get the bug and carry on

Start with new cans with an appropriate remap!
You can do the remap yourself with TuneECU. Take a look at .

I live in south Wales UK
do lots of riding with a fairly big group of guys 5 - 10 on most ride outs so if anyone fancies a blast over the brecon beacons inbox me

i am on the hunt for a decent set of cans so if you guys hear of any fair prices for good uns will be paid however spending another G on Acras may take the piss.... the wife had a shock when the new bike turned up i only took the mille out to blow the cob webs off her......
