new SD owner from Los Angeles/North OC

hi friends,

I just started riding last Oct (I'm 43), my first bike was a 2004 Honda 599 (Hornet), a most excellent starter bike.
I've got about 3,500 miles of riding since Oct.

Last Saturday I picked up a white 2008 SD...and then promptly had to leave for a week vacation the next morning. I did get to ride it around a bit on Saturday.
So it has been sitting in the garage waiting for me... I get back home tmrw am and can't wait to ride it!

it's totally stock, 4,800 miles on it.

interestingly enough, I realised since I started riding in Oct, I have never seen a SD on the road, I love having an "uncommon" bike.

Welcome....my bet is that you will love the SD ...similar Idea (to the Hornet).....only more of it (Brakes , Handling, ....FUN)

I live in LA, near santa monica. I actually see a SD owner drive by me house a few times a week. I have been meaning to run out there and flag him down but I haven't yet.

I guess mine didn't come with the passenger pegs..? and the seat doesn't have the passenger handle strap.
