New to me 07 Anthracite

Hi all, been lurking for a long time and was finally able to snag one of these beasts. Purchased from the original owner with 3k on it. After a month and the mods below it's now at 4k miles. I gotta say, this thing is naughty, intoxicating and addicting. I love it. I was originally looking for an 08 in white with the black swingarm, but this deal popped up and was too good to pass up on. Guess I'll have to powedercoat the swingrm myself!

So far on the maintenance side:
Oil change
Chain cleaned/degreased
Injectors Cleaned
New Battery

Despite it's low mileage and 1 owner past I get the feeling it wasn't given an incredible amount of attention as the OP had A LOT of other toys so I'm getting it caught up to speed on most anything I see that it needs or what the passing time dictates.

On the mod side, thanks OP:
Akra tiitanium cans
Tall windscreen

Mod side, by me:
O2 delete
KTM axle sliders front and rear
Lower temp thermostat, which I really like as I'm in an urban area
SAS system sits awaiting my tank relocation brackets to make the job complete.

New tyres to be installed tomorrow:
Michelin power 2CTs




I'd also like thank a lot of the members on here for the excellent tutorials I've read that have really helped me get things accomplished quickly and with confidence!

My goals for the summer are a couple track days and I've also purchased a KTM tank bag as well as a Kriega US 20 tail bag so I can make my way to the Appalachian mountains and find some curvy roads and long days out on the pavement . Contemplating a Kriega 10 as the 20 just isn't as large as I imagined it would be... Hmmmm. That or another 20 to stack on top? Hoping to be out for 7-10 days.

Only slightly faster than my old Honda CB 350!

I looked at the reflectors, but only briefly as I was doing things to it. They are just on with adhesive, I take it?

LOL @ the CB 350 comment. It was a fun bike that I toyed with as a cafe project. It would go 100, but not much more and wasn't exactly stable

Turned in the Duke yesterday to get some new shoes put on and they gave me this new 2013 Street Triple as a loaner. The thing is just so damned easy to ride and my first ride on the famed triple... color me impressed. of course, the color and the headlights I find not too appealing, but great bike otherwise!

Friend of mine just got one of these - looks pretty good - He stuffed his other one ( a couple years old ) someone coming down the road on the wrong site / clipped him totall'n the bike... broke his thumb.

I rode his other one - wasn't bad ...
