Bert
Hi , not posted yet so thought i would today , had my sdr for 4 weeks now and love it , saying that apart from the usless rear shock and the over valved front forks , so have revalved the front ( 3 stage progressive - thanks to Revs Suspension ) way better and now fitted a Wilbers rear shock ( Revs again) transformed the bike from a hinged misile to a usable A and B road tool. I used to have a 990 SM and the sdr Knocks spots off it .
WARNING: Somethind happened today which i think i need to share as this may be a common problem , but lets hope not!
Following a Ducati 1198 today the following happened - The rider of the 1198 was to say the least fast so had to push the sdr hard over a long distance ie ,GPS top speed reading 145mphmax to 120 mph over 3 miles the next thing i know is the bike has overheated , reason - the coolant pipe behind the front clyinder had popped off and lost all the coolant , (bike okay as i caught it before the big bang!!) the stainless steel crimp type collar on the pipe was loose , that is to say i think from new it was never fitted properly on the engine pipe , so check yours to see as i was lucky.
Happy Days
