Hello all, been listening in for a wee while while awaiting delivery of my SD.
Well, waiting's over, picked it up last night and I have'nt been able to wipe the grin off my face since.
Big thanks to all at D.I.Superbikes, Aberdeen for the prep. and handover of cracking machine in 'Fast Black'.
Well impressed with 'superduke' forum, loads of info which has been a great help already (Akras and mapping awaiting at first service).
Been on (road)bikes for 30+ years and this beastie is a revelation.

Welcome. I hope you get the SD. I almost bought the S3 - great bike - but back to back the SD topped it for me.
Welcome Anne. All you seek can be found here...

Howdy!
And welcome.
You have made a wise decision.
Here she finally is !

The weather sucked but diddnt spoil the fun to mutch, but i had a overheating issue on the way home. :\
In busy trafic she overheats quite fast and i dont hear the fan blowing when its overheating so i guess its an electrical issue.

Calling the dealer tomorrow with the bad news.
Looks v nice , sounds like a fuse issue its no5 fuse under the seat, could save a trip to the dealer.
Checked it and that wasnt the issue.
Would be awesome to save a trip to the dealer since its a 1hour drive...
and the traffic on the road to it is quite heavy.

Found quite some possiblities trough the seartch function,
il tell my dealer about em incase he cant find the problem.
very nice garage (i.e clean)

And the bike looks good too

welcome to the forum !

enjoy your new toy
It aint my garage thats why its so clean.
Nice bike!!! Too bad about the overheating. Hope you get it fixed without any problems.

Hi there,
Picked up my SD about 2 months ago now and have to say Im enjoying every minute... Apart from the puncture i picked up in my first week of ownership - there needs to be more call out services in the SW UK ! Having to get the bike picked up was a pain to say the least !

Im sure there will be many Q's to come so be prepared !

Cheers
George

Just enerted the SD world today, bought Superdans Red Bull SD this morning, already planning the mods, hope to be at Oulton, Angelsey and Cadwell this year . . .
Welcome on board dude. Keep an eye on the track section as quite a few of us get together for a few track days across the year. Will be a 2 dayer happening at some point as well. We just need to decide if it's Cadwell again or somewhere else.
Hi , not posted yet so thought i would today , had my sdr for 4 weeks now and love it , saying that apart from the usless rear shock and the over valved front forks , so have revalved the front ( 3 stage progressive - thanks to Revs Suspension ) way better and now fitted a Wilbers rear shock ( Revs again) transformed the bike from a hinged misile to a usable A and B road tool. I used to have a 990 SM and the sdr Knocks spots off it .
WARNING: Somethind happened today which i think i need to share as this may be a common problem , but lets hope not!
Following a Ducati 1198 today the following happened - The rider of the 1198 was to say the least fast so had to push the sdr hard over a long distance ie ,GPS top speed reading 145mphmax to 120 mph over 3 miles the next thing i know is the bike has overheated , reason - the coolant pipe behind the front clyinder had popped off and lost all the coolant , (bike okay as i caught it before the big bang!!) the stainless steel crimp type collar on the pipe was loose , that is to say i think from new it was never fitted properly on the engine pipe , so check yours to see as i was lucky.

Happy Days
Welcome mate.
There are a couple of posts on the cheap ass clamps used on the water hoses.
Good thing you noticed and didn't fry the engine!
Welcome aboard.

Sounds like you were having a good time up til then.
Hi Stick,

I'm in the Black Country too ( near Kingswinford) Only ever seen one other SD round here, a black 05.
Welcome in! Good save....glad you didn't pop your motor.
welcome to the family... or institution
