Hello i've been on my 06 950 sm for a couple years now,but am thinking of going to the 990 sd.I found one in LA for 7,700,but its stock,my sm has all the stuff on it [akaras carbon etc]It would take at least 1,500 to get it like i would want it so i'll have to wait for now,[bad economy]anyways hope to get one soon,maybe an r model !

#6I thought these two would be similar,but they are very diffrent !,the sd is much more a roadracer,snd the sm more of a all around bike.the sm seems to have more low end torque,and the sd is very smooth power[once past the inital off idle jerkyness]the sm wheelies quite eaisly,and the sd wont come up with throttle alone,guess ill have to clutch it,or at least gear it down !
