Hello all,
I'm Ed from the upstate of South Carolina. I live 4 miles from the BMW mfg. site in North America!

Since last September I'm the proud owner of a 1290SD! Orange/White (Their faster than Black )
I have really done this bike right.. It started with the full race kit from KTM .. all titanium Akro system, butterflies shut, air box mod, K&N
ECU remap.. Purchased the Dyna Jet Power Commander for the 1290, but spoke to Dyno-Jet last week and they still have no map for this kitted bike. (They offered free tuning if I deliver it to Las Vegas, so they can sell the maps!) Of course being a southern gentleman, I offered to have it there if they paid the cross US trip, along with hotel/pocket cash and nightly entertainment It is Las Vegas !
I'm a tad over 50 years young and road raced from 1984 VFR500F until 1996 CBR900RR. Since then I've slowed down on several H.D.'s and had temporary loss of sanity with a RC51 and now a 1290 SD. I look forward to meeting other owners and reading the ideas and mods..
I'm extremely happy with the performance of mine with all the mods and lack of weight.. (Catalytic converter + passenger adds)
Keeping the dream alive in twenty oh one five!
Fast Eddie
Welcome Comrade fast eddie: Nice mods. I don't know that I like the sound of PC trying to sell the maps. Do they think they have copyright on them!!!
Anyway enjoy that slow (orange) one
They are likely free.. come to think about it..
My BAD, I guess I'm familiar with taking my bikes to a shop that charges to make a "perfect map" and charges a nice fee !
They begged me over the phone !

I'm not allowed to load a personal photo gallery tonight, so I'm waiting on permission.. I'll upload pictures of the BEAST!
Cheers,
Ed
