I¡ll keep it for a couple of years more, just because i'm waiting for the RC8 to come.....

But i must admit that the new model is a great temptation.

Regarding the steering angle.. you can all adjust your 05/06 SD's to do or not to do the 'headshake' light or touchy feeling.. whatever you call it.

It is a simple adjustment in the geometry:
1) Quick steer, unstable at high speed = lower front end / raise rear end
2) Slower steer, stable at speed = higher fron end / lower rear end

How much you ask? Well for me about 80kg with gear it is:

1) Quick:
Front - 2mm of black fork (ie not measuring silver cap) visible from the outside of the triple clamp. preload 1 turn in from full off. Soft dampening and rebound
Rear - Std preload, Soft dampening and rebound (less than comfort setting)

2) Slow:
Front - silver cap flat with the outside of the triple clamp. preload sports setting. Sports dampening and rebound settings
Rear - Std preload, Sports dampening and rebound settings

If you have adjusted your rear preload... you need to compensate with more or less adjustment to the front.

Note: My suggestion is:
a) set the bike back to standard
b) get a friend to help you and set your preload front and rear to your weight (note the settings)
c) adjust from there.... or use the dampening and rebound settings KTM suggest (and dont use KTM's preload - use your weight setting)

If you want more info on suspension have a read of
