They should also give you hand release or a BJ. Those bikes are TOTAL TURKEYS at a dealership and should be sold to you for less than cost plus maybe a free service or two.
The bikes themselves are great. I love the SD as do we all here but c'mon. Weren't the '08s produced in '07?
If the dealer isn't unusually delusional, they should be selling it for under $7grand IMO.
I agree on ALL fluid and maybe tyres too. That's some seriously old rubber by now.
You will be testing the quality of that rubber very soon. You are gonna love the SD!

I wish I could take it for 7k, but that would be unheard of... I've heard that tyres only have a shelf life of about 2 years. I doubt the dealer would be willing to throw one a new set of rubber, but I'm going to ask.

O, and the sales guy said that the bike was completely dry (minus the visible clutch and brake fluid) when I asked him if I could test ride it, I call BS! I'll pull the dip stick when I go back in. I'm sure KTM runs the bike through its gears at the factory...

I have just bought an 08 and i'm breaking it in at the mo, the bike seems fine however i am now gonna check the dealer has changed the fluids if not i shall get them to do it at the first service which is v soon, lost a bit of faith in the dealer they told me they had checked every thing. I spent my first couple of days riding it thinking something was not quite right so checked the bike over the tyres only had about 27 psi in them! I something as basic as that was'nt checked makes me nothing was actualy checked or changed (if need be) gonna confront them with this at the first service and make sure the fluids are changed.
