Was riding along today when the service message started flashing. Very alarming and confusing since my miles were still in the 300s. Got home and discovered this awesome post about resetting the service interval:

In short, my service interval was set to 500KM=310 miles instead of the proper 1000KM=620 miles. Once I set it to 1000KM, all was well.
So if you hit 310 miles and get the service message flashing you know why!!
