#3I ve used an HM shifter on my RC8.
It was working great up to when i sold it.
It's still not clear to me what is the diff between the Rc8 and SDR1290 engine architecture that makes the shifter on the latter a high risk upgrade.
Which model did you use? The HM site does not offer a specific product for the 1290

#5I am thinking of going down the same road
I understand that only the shifters for past 2010 RC8 models will fit, right?

#6I developed a better system and contacted a few QS manufacturers to see if they are interested.
So far no response.

#12That suggests that they've loaded software for the 1290 ADV into the clocks in error. I believe it comes with a QS.

#15I should have checked before assuming - I was sure I'd seen one on the 1290 ADV in my dealer's showroom.
Google tells me I'm wrong.
Dammit. That's my one mistake for the year, back to being right all the time!

#16Fitted the Dynojet QS unit to my bike today and not having much luck. The bike refuses the change gear without closing the throttle, the lever is stiff and will not change, once i release the pressure from the lever the fuel cuts momentarily.
So i guess that means the fuel cut portion is functioning correctly just need to get the actually gears shifting now Any ideas what might be the issue here?
Gear changes are fine with the clutch, or clutch-less with the throttle closed.
