137 horses possible from a standard 2007 SD?

Met what seemed like a genuine dude today on a 2007 SD. He reckons his mate has a dyno and that using tuneECU he is getting 137 horses out of the SD.

I was gutted obviously after all the work I have carried out.

Question is, is this possible?

Yes, if the dyno is optimistic, yeah.
Other dyno's have the hp figures on the crank (they simply do +10% to the true figures).

Difference is in the dyno software, not so much in the bike itself. Some commercial dyno's like to present their costumers a high figure, the only way to compare is using the same dyno back to back.

Yes, it is just the dyno lying. Unless of course, he tells you the same bike does 160+mph then you know he is Billy Bullshit from Bognor. I would rather have the dyno than his SD, you could make a fortune giving big bhp readings to all the local bike meet waffling wasters

Reminds me of that guy on the KTM forum with his sky high power.

I asked him what correction factor the dyno used - his reply was "It must be correct, they do all the tuning for BSB kawasaki."

Funny that. I just done some research on the injectors in the standard SD. They only flow enough for about 65 hp max per cylinder.
x 2that is 130 hp. So how can he get more than that.
That is oother issue cloonster should look at coz if you don't change the injectors you can't get above this.
Check in Tuneecu, on a normal SD they are already 93 % open.

Either fit SDR - RC8R injectors, Ducati 1098 injectors (expensive) or adapt a 12 hole bosch or denso injector with 550cc flow rate.

Ive gotten 131hp on one dyno and then on another dyno with a 3hp gain got 124hp... They are a tuning tool, not a dick measuring tool

The guy should buy a V4 Tuono there is a 6 odd page thread on this forum full of people making highly exaggerated claims about that bikes performance.

in theory yes its possible, but that would need a very expensive blueprinting and tuning job and careful optimising of fueling / ignition/cam timing/exhaust and air filter/inlet system, even the drive train would have to be tuned to reduce losses,

So in the real world no, I very much doubt seeing much more than 130bhp from an SD on an accurate dyno under steady load,
you can get higher readings with a run through the gears 2-3% but that`s not any more true than blasting cold air at the air intake

Ive done everything i can think of to mine and on Bob farnhams dyno it touched a tad under 130bhp.
129.23bhp to be exact
I know if i took it to a certain dyno place near me it would read nearly 140 lol
