16T Front standard on 08?

Hey all, bit confused yesterday evening, came in after being out all day and decided to give the new 08 sduke a wash, fit the new Oberon slave cylinder (cheers tripodave!) and replace the clutch fluid. I was led to believe that they all came with a 17t front standard as my old 06 did. The gearing feels the same as it did on my 06 before I dropped a tooth. When I pulled the sprocket cover off and checked the number of teeth (about 4 times to be certain!) its a 16t. I was gonna order one yesterday, lucky I didnt. Can anyone shed any light on this? BTW excuse the dirt, I havent cleaned it in a month and hadnt realised how dirty it was back there

Stock gearing for the 07 SD and SDR is 16/38. From the looks of it you have the stock sprocket as well so yes it's normal

Ahh...all is getting clearer now lol!
What should I be be putting on the rear so? A 41 tooth rear so should be the equivelent of dropping 1 on the front so. I'm off to the wanted section next
