#3dunlop GPA tyres is designed for a 5.5" rim. the spec sheet recommends a 5.5 rim.

#7I've been running the UK made 211GPA 190/55 tyres since they were introduced, and love the grip levels they offer..probably more grip than I ever used. Anyways, I bought my first pair of the US made 211GPA 190/55 to be used on a track day this coming Monday, and was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the UK vs US made tyres. I've been told the UK tyres may wear a bit longer, but both have similar grip levels. Has anyone tried both and felt a difference?

#8They are meant to be the same animal.....only made in USA rather than UK (see site below)

They are my weapon of choice for track days .....grip better and last longer...endurance rear seems to grip just as well as medium.........but last's alot longer (I use soft front...no issuses )

Watch out for cold tear....where you need to drop pressure .....people confuse it with hot tear and increase the pressure and cannot understand why it gets worse
I found that the 190 rubbed my swinging arm at speed (ok static) ...but I was running standard chain and sprockets and 40-16 gearing (short wheel base....so wheel closer to engine / narrower part of swinging arm) they do grow
.....look at the mrs front mudguard.....worn through
This was the recommended size tyre (I / she take's the mudgaurd off for her trackdays now

#9My bike had a 190/50 on it when I bought it and the first thing I noticed compared to my previous cbr600rr was that the turn in felt a bit sketchy or not confidence inspiring,if you want to put it that way.
Today I put on another Pirelli angel, but this time the right size 180/55, So now I'm keen to get into it and see what it feels like. (it was raining on the way home )

#10When I got my bike, the first thing I wanted to do is fit a 190 rear but when I checked there really does not seem to be any room to fit a wider tyre. Was there a change from the 05 to the 07 model as I have an 07 and have about 5mm between the tyre and swingarm???
