Has anyone run their SD down the 1/4 and if so what times/mph did you run? The reason being Im running mine at the end of the month at the April Fools Run (biggest streetfighter show in OZ) and am keen to know what to expect.

If there are any other Aussies interested in going to this event, check this out http://ausfr.com.au/cart/shopexd.asp?id=196
JB, we had a great dude in here named Annka, dedicated drag racer, joe misses him.. someone had stolen his "worlds fastest SD" in Amsterdam

and he had his time on his profile, maybe some other folks will come in to say more great stuff about him, I hope he comes back.

as far as his track times and speeds I am unsure of, but joe is sure folks will come and comment on his results.
Depending on your wieght and bike mods and ability to launch the bike - which isn't easy - then mid to low 11's are pretty normal.

Personal Best is 11.19 @ 122mph with a stock bike. Ride_KTM was doing about the same - both at willowbank.

Ankka's time is the best I've heard at 10.67 I think. More mods and suspension bombed to the deck.
I've run a 10.64 at my local track - OK it's an old runway which has a bit of a downhill run: see:

My bike is standard apart from cans/remap.

To put it into perspective, I ran against a 957cc Fireblade & beat it (just), beat a FZ1 Fazer by about 3-4 bike lengths. The best bike on the day was a ZX10R with extended swinging arm and strapped down forks, he did a 10.20.

The performance was a surprise to me, the first run of the day, I lined up against a Buell City X and he ran a high 13's, on this run my time was was 11.08, this run was a little embarrasing (looked like I was 'picking' on the Buell). - edit - the Buell rider posted a clip on Youtube:

I had no trouble launching the bike at all, it was easier to launch than my old GSXR1000. OK I'm just under 12stone but I think my speed hillclimbing background helped getting the bike off the line, in hillclimbing I used to race a modified CR500 'crosser and where times are measured to the 1/100th of a second - my father was also competitive in Hillclimb and he embarrassed quite a few sportsbikes at the drag racing on his FZ1 Fazer.

Again for comparism, at the same track I previously ran a 10.8 on my 918cc carb model Fireblade (stock apart from dynojet,K&N & can).
