I put the down payment on the SD on January 6th and waited while trying to sell my TL.

I brought the SD home on March 1st and other than a quick rip around the block, have patiently waited for the weather to cooperate to take the bike for a rip.

I put the Yosh on last night and today I fired the bike up with the Yosh for the 1st time and simply couldn't help myself. With 2*C temperatures and overcast skies (with the occasional snow flake seen) I said SCREW IT! Out I went.

I'm no racer, but here's my take on the scant 16 km boot through town and on the ring highway I just did;

The TL was remapped and dyno'd with a full Yosh system.
The SD quite clearly pulls harder and faster than the TL did. Even with cold everything I felt that I had to constantly lean forward to keep her down when on the gas. The Yosh sounds fantastic, more throaty than the TL but that may be because the TL was past due for a re-pack. That said, the on/off transition of the throttle is brutal but I've read that some mapping and familiarity on the bike will help. I'm going to have the Akra map loaded, hope that helps.

The TL had 95kg springs up front and a Bitubo rear suspension.
The SD feels much more connected to the road and lets me feel everything without any wallow, bounce, etc... Even in the cold it was confidence inspiring.

The TL had a 5/8 MC (up from 14mm), 6 pot pistons (up from 4), SS lines and HH sintered pads.
The SD has brakes that bring me back to my main battle tank days; when you want to stop, it does so before the back of the tank reaches where the front was! No harshness in the lever and completely progressive with nice feedback.

I had several heads turning when they heard the Yosh, then double taking to figure out what the bike was (I've never seen another SD locally) and a few big grins and thumbs up.

As much as I loved the TL, I think I just forgot about it!

They're calling for 9*C on Tuesday...
