Spoke with Ian from BRACKEN KTM about the possibility of doing the SUPERDUKE CUP next year.
It is going to be launched officially at the motorcycle show at the NEC at the end of the month.
The series will run over 10 rounds as a support to the BRITISH SUPERBIKE races and also the BRITISH ROUND OF THE MOTO GP
You will need a clubman race licence. (which counts me out )
Cost will be £7250 for the bike, which will include a £4500 spares package (not sure if the akra is included in this package). Engine tuning is allowed and he reckons on allowing about £2500 for this.
The carbon WHEELS and TANK are not allowed and the EVOLUTION exhaust system will not be used as it produces no more power the the "basic" akra system.
I am having a think about selling my SD so i can do the KTM 660 cup next year and gain my race licence. Then do the SUPERDUKE cup in 2008.
