The RC8 & RC8R will be in the US in February (which means March), although 150 RC8s are here NOW as limited 2008 models for the US (no changes to the 2009 from '08 since it was a mid-year into). The R will be mo bettah, and worldwide release is also February.
Yeah i'm sure the 1098 department are quaking...

Their biggest worry is that KTM stop making the RC8 and people won't really what a good version should feel like. Ducati have sold loads of 1098's after people tested RC8s
Come on weeksy

How many years has Ducati been producing superbikes?

How many years has KTM been producing superbikes?

For KTM to even get a comparison test against the 1098 is at least worth honorable mention

Competition like this only benefits the consumer!

Considering what the majority of superbikes sold are used for, KTM's SM or SD are much better choices for the average rider, they just don't have the "poser" factor of the superbikes.

Stunters excluded of course
Unless they severly improve the performance of the RC8, im not even going to give it a second glance at the current US price. If the RC8R can perform close to the 1098R, ill consider it
