lets see most affordable, second lightest, second best acceleration, most usable power (lower rev range), most comfortable.. best tank range.... where did it finish?


Last... place...... whatever..

and somehow i find it hard to believe that if they were to give a ounce of effort to dialing in the suspension that the kawi would best it? .... not.

guess the only thing that matters is quarter mile times

The SD is hands down, my favorite bike. Looks, ergos perfect for me, handling, performance, it is the total package. The $9800 I paid for my in the box '08 last year, plus the big box of useful accessories that KTM sent me, saved me $$$$ over the Streetfighter that I was about to buy. Enough to finance a 2 day session at California Superbike School and a few years of insurance, operating expenses, maintainence, and an Evo slip on system. Even though the SD may not be the "latest and greatest", it's great enough for me.

So this is a "STREET" fighter shootout and the ducati that they say only really shines on the track is first. I think they forget why these bikes were designed. Have sporty performance on the street upright comfort better visibility but still fun on track.
They geared the kawi low to increase performance but at the cost of a whiny engine at highway speeds. Brilliant. They can have em
