What do people think about next year's Superduke R ?
It's reverted back to the 2007 type bike.Standard engine,no Akropovic headers but with the standard dual seat.
It's also the only Superduke available.
When I saw it at the show ,I first thought it a bit of a con.A standard bike dressed up as an R,but then I checked the KTM website and it does have the R steeper geometry, stearing damper, reduced wheel travel.
The forks are 4860 ROMA PA and the shock is 8618 BAVP DCC.Are these the same as the previous SDR's? In which case, does that mean thy're still way to stiff for English roads?
I'm quite fancying it as the throttle action on the standard bike is pretty good compared to my truly awful 08 SDR.
The BHP appears to be slighly higher ,97 kW whatever that is in real money.Seems about half way between 09 Superduke and 08 SDR.
Its being discussed here:

My opinion is its a parts-bin bike, either to simplify (and cheapen) production or to get rid of whatever parts they have for these bikes to prepare for possible new design in 2013.

they are bringing out a 1200 version toward the end of 2012 where the engine is actualy lighter than the current 990
