Bike is almost finished..........

I acheived my weight goals for the start of my 2013 season.

Final weight in=
All fluids on max ready to go, no fuel= 158.4kg (349.2lbs)
As above, inc 10L fuel on grid ready to race= 167.2kg (368.9lbs)
10L fuel weighs approx 9kg.

A big change in design from 2012's Echo livery. I chose this myself as i like it to be subtle with a few trick touches. Went with a silver metal flake as a base in various quatities on black/silver, then finished with a holograghic effect flake to make it flip and sparkle in the sun. My idea was that it will look very plain and subdued but as it pans past the TV cameras in the sun the flake effect will make the bike look alot brighter than it is.

I tried to show the effect in the painwork in this shot but the picture does it no justice as it's too dull outside at this time of year.
Boogies Bike Paint put in a fantastic effort. The paint job is like glass!
LR Designs had a free reign for graphics and did very well in coming up with the effect that fits well with the bikes overall look.

I loved it until the close-ups...

You'd have to see it in real life.
Bear in mind it has to stand out against a grid of brightly coloured bikes. But i dont like bright, so this was the best option to get best of both worlds.
Sublte with a hint of homo. Embrace the campness Weeksy

Some changes to kit. Just logos on leathers and colour change of boots and helmet and a new set of knee sliders.

Winter training is going very well. I'm on track to hit my target weight of 75kg early. (165lbs).
Giving it some Stoner action on the morning mountain bike runs

I'm not on the forum a whole lot. And after all the threads that went on it was a bit embarassing at end of last year. So if anyone wants to follow the progress on the bike and results please use the website as i'll be putting all the info there in one place so current and potential sponsors can keep tabs on everything. There is some recent updates on the exhaust and setup/training etc. I plan on doing a few live race weekend updates immediatley after every race so the info is fresh etc.

Again, a massive thanks to all the guys who showed some support this season. It's hard to put across in text but i do genuinley appreciate it.

It is looking like it will be a very tough season in 2013. The grid is going to be much tougher with the RaceHQ team putting out a load of Triumphs and have arranged some bike journalists rides on them for the year. Currently still busting my balls on overtime but we should be good to get out for the first few rounds at Brands Hatch, Donington and Cadwell provding i dont have any big crashes. Then i'll take it round by round and see how it goes.

Brands is going to be tough as it's 8hrs away i've never been there before. I'll have 5x 12min sessions in testing to learn the track, get used to the new setup, and work out what levers to pull after 5months off the bike. Donington has a 98db noise limit on the test day and i cant get the bike down as low as that so i'll have to miss testing and got straight out into qualifying cold. By Cadwell things will be better, then we will move onto my more favoured tracks like Oulton Park and Anglesey so if all pans out and i'm still ble to get out there things should hot up by 3/4 distance in the season.

nice bike!!! love the new look.

for donnington park, before i went there for a track day i played the track on sbk for xbox. it's only really a close representation of the track but you will know what corner is coming next.
if it's any good to you i can lend you my minitwin for practice. i'm not that far from donni. the bike is ready for scrutineering, it is obviously a totaly different bike to ride but at least you can learn the track.
let me know closer to the time, i can bring the bike for you and help out in the paddock over the weekend.

Yo Viking,

"Donington has a 98db noise limit on the test day and i cant get the bike down as low as that so i'll have to miss testing and got straight out into qualifying cold."

Think about fabing some turned down, to the ground, exhaust tips to your cans. You can even go as far as to point the tips away from the tracks sound check recievers. (Alls fare in love and war). You can buy pre-bent SST pipe from hot rod suppliers.

Nice frikin' bike Viking Thanks for posting up Made my morning.
