A few questions before I buy!!

I am thinking of selling my 06 Triumph Daytona 675 in order to purchase a 07-08 SD. I have a couple of questions(I have done some searching):
I am used to long days on sport bikes, I am just hoping that the SD is more comfortable for the long days. From what I have read it is but can someone with similair experience share some thoughts?
It seems there are hardly and SD's around my area(Michigan) so I may not be able to test ride one, I had a 2002 Honda RC51 before and love the motor but not the comfort level, is the SD power similiar to the RC51?
I have also ridden/owned a ton of different bikes mainly street bikes(R1's, GSXR750, TT600, 929rr, 600rr, Kaw 636, 625SMC, RC51, and I have a DRZ400E that I use for street and SM now. I am a very experienced rider and it seems like I am never hapy with a bike100%, I am hopng the SD can fill that void.

Hi buddy, i did 400kms in a day last week and was happier and more comfortable than my mate (Stumpy on here) by the end of the days riding

I find the riding position much easier than my old sports bike, i used to get painfull wrists/shoulders on a long ride but not on the SD.
The seat on the SD i find a bit painfull though, i have thought about getting the gell seat but have read its no better from other owners.
As for power i can't see it being as powerfull as a RC51 though i have never ridden one. Most seem to be around 110-115 bhp.

I have also had a ton of bikes. The SD is not really comfy, but it's much better than the sportbikes. Street power is great. Top-end is only good. Prepare for wind blast at speed.

Also, you do know you'll never find the "perfect" bike, right? As much fun as it is to try and find it...

I just got back from about 2700 miles, on a week-long ride. My only (minor) complaint about comfort was that my tail pack sort of limited my fore/aft movement, but that's not really the bikes fault...
It's no goldwing, but it's loads more comfy than any sport-bike that I've ridden.
