... is without a doubt, a supermoto.

Sure the superdukes are a hoot, but this thing is insane. Went for a fang up some of the local mountains this morning. I had forgotten how much corner speed you can have on one of these. Yesterday I picked up a Husaberg supermoto.. Not quite a KTM, but almost. Alot of engine components lifted straight from the KTM motocrosser. Weighing in at around 120kg's and being pushed along by a 570cc motor, its put a huge stupid crazy grin on my face.

Looks like a sweet ride. Makes me miss my SM.
A friend of mine let me ride his Aprillia SXV 550 once on some twisties and I was completely lost on the thing. It was only about 15 20 mins on it but I had no fkking clue where to sit, how to lean, I even struggled with the shifter, dam thing felt like it was like a foot away.

I've always wanted one but scared if I got up the nuts to pick one up I would never ride it, I guess its like everything and you'd learn but not what I was expecting... needless to say no dirt background.. Other people look like they have alot of fun on them though
Supermoto is like describing an orgasm to a virgin.

But they are beter than the KTM's and that was a quote from a KTM dealer .

out of interest, what mileage can you get out of full tank of petrol, assuming normal sort of riding.

What will they cruise at on the motorway? 80 comfortable?

Whats the deal with having to break them down all the time? What exactly needs to be tuned and such and how often?

High compression motor with only a small amount of oil. MX bikes put out a lot of power, work very hard and can get pretty hot. Luckily this husaberg has 1.6L oil capacity which is a fair amount more than a KTM. Makes the oil changes a little bit less frequent.

Thats one Sick assa Berg you got there! I would say KTM is not quite a Berg. SM's are the funnest bikes!

Now for the HIJACK...

I love my 525 SMR! Here's its evolution...

It started as a tall ass dirt bike with a tall seat. Riding it home was a task the day I bought it. I was hanging off one side to get my tip toe down.

It looked something like this, but with a tall soft seat. Not what I needed with a 30" inseam.
