hi, ADVISE NEEDED...I have a 2007 SDR with HP Corse slip on exhaust and BMC filter. The bike has a custom KTM map to suit from KTM dealership [previous owner
In the next couple of weeks I intend to do the following work.... eliminate the O2 sensors....remove the sas, fit blank off plates...remove the secondary flies and shafts...
Questions are....1. when I connect the bike to the ECU will it recognise/display my current map on my laptop
2. having completed the work mentioned earlier...would it then be necessary to load a different map onto the ECU
or would my current map suffice
3. any advise about what to use to plug the holes left by the butterfly shafts
Any advise would be greatly appreciated as Im a complete novice...THANX

Tune ECU will read your current map.

The map you have should be OK with those changes, a custom map would likely improve things a little though.

You can use these to block the holes, make sure you ask for orange plugs though (and I'm not kidding - the black ones don't do the job)

I'm pretty certain all your questions have been addressed, many times ...

New to the interwebs, or just forums? Maybe give the site's search feature a try ... or http://lmgtfy.com/ ...

1. Yes, the current map will/can be loaded.

2. Best performance will come from a map specific to your setup. If not professionally determined with a dyno, then the next best thing is probably on this very site.

3. There are multiple solutions to this. Search is your friend.
the hard way to block the holes is to tap a thread and cut bolts to length and use a thread locker (MY WAY).... the easy way is to use plastic plugs and glue

when you connect the bike to tune ecu.. you have to download the map from the bike make your changes, save it, then load it back on the bike... bike has to been on with the run switch on.... for the 07 remove the headlight fuse so you dont drain your battery

dont need to load a different map but a dyno run after you have done all the mods is a good move
